FC Schalke 04 grabs defensive talent Greiml
Schalke 04 has secured the services of Leo Greiml for the 2022/23 season. The Austrian costs no transfer, as his contract expires at Rapid Vienna in summer. The 20-year-old receives a contract with the royal blue until 2025.
Greiml is the Schalke's first new entry for the coming season. In the central defensive threatens the departure of Salif Sané, whose contract also ends in the summer of 2022.
Greiml was trained in youth at St. Pölten and changed in the summer of 2018 for the second representation of Rapid Vienna. Only a year later he celebrated his professional debut at the Hütteldorfern. Since then he came to 41 assignments in the Austrian Bundesliga. Currently, Greelyl cursed a cruciate ligament tear, which he had attracted himself last October in the game at the TSG Hartberg (1: 1). In the summer preparation of the scarce, Greely wants to get completely in completely.
"Leo is a great talent and one of the best Austrian footballers of his year", S04 sports director Rouven Schröder is quoted on the club website. "Both in Rapid and the Austrian U-21 national team, Leo has already taken responsibility in the place in the past before the knee injury brought him."
